About Dr. Patel
Dr. Kunal Patel is a board-certified neurosurgeon and expert in neurosurgical oncology and surgery for brain tumors within the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. Â

Dr. Patel is a world expert in research on brain tumors and principal investigator of his own laboratory studying glioblastoma and cerebrospinal fluid disorders. His scholarly contributions include authorship of more than 75 peer-reviewed scientific publications.Â

Amani Carson
Amani is interested in access to care differences by socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic differences in patients with brain tumors. She has published multiple papers on this subject, given symposia at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons national conference, and is supported by the Dana Center Fellowship.
